On March 3, 2022, Enactus Aryabhatta of Aryabhatta College, University of Delhi brings home the Enactus worldcup, the 1 Race 4 Oceans finalist trophy where Aryabhatta team represented India with their project Palaash. The event as a part of Enactus worldcup 2021 was powered by the Wilo Foundation and the Sustainable Ocean Alliance. The team represented India and stood in the top 4 out of 101 distinct teams from 18 countries, receiving a prize of USD 4,000. Project Palaash is an initiative by the Aryabhatta college society to tackle the problem of floral waste mismanagement and the water pollution caused through it. They create value out of the tons of floral waste that comes out of temples and celebrations every day by making natural dyes and compost out of them, and in the process employing sections of underprivileged women who have been victims of human trafficking.
