To emphasize various forms of inter-collegiate debate competition & present public debates, host debate competitions. To Provide participating students with valuable educational activity & improve critical thinking, research skills, teamwork, ethical argumentation & analysis.

VISION
ZeroHour – The Debating Society of Aryabhatta college is committed to modeling, fostering diversity, & including all speeches/debates by students. Our vision is to reflect & operationalize the values of equity, integrity, leadership, respect & service. ZeroHour envisions creating a learning environment in which students develop proficiency in analyzing different issues in a wide spectrum & understanding different various perspectives & writing. We also envision empowering students & enhancing their critical analytical skills along with communication skills so they can present their arguments effectively in different contexts & assure their better overall understanding. ZeroHour envisions to also work towards bringing rationality in students so they can participate & constructively form their own perspective through selecting & evaluating evidence. We also envision helping students in realizing their untapped potential & talent so they can improve & maximize their talent contributing to the enhancement of their self-confidence.

MISSION
ZeroHour – The Debating society of Aryabhatta college believes that Debate is a valuable alternative to the violence of physical conflict & silencing effects of totalitarianism. Our mission includes organizing different forms of debates to make sure that the students associated with the society or students, in general, get to learn different formats of debates by making students aware of various ways of communicating and expressing their rationally formed arguments. We to achieve our vision since the formation of the society in 2015, have been successfully organizing various forms of Bilingual (Hindi & English) Inter- collegiate Debate competitions such as Conventional form of Debate, Extempore, Mock diplomacy, Turncoat form of debate competitions through ‘PRATIVAD’ – The Annual Event of ZeroHour & ‘DISPUTO’ – The Annual Fest of ZeroHour.
We further plan to expand our participation & organizing different other forms of debate as well, such as Inter-collegiate Parliamentary debate competition (2 v/s 2) including Asian/British Parliamentary debates, MUNs & Youth Parliament.
